Review of the Sony Ericsson Jalou Dolce and Gabbana

The Sony Ericsson Jalou Dolce and Gabbana is a phone of some style. The name alone brings with it a sense of sophistication and quality, let alone the 24 carat Gold plating used in its construction. This designer version of the Sony Jalou is due soon and is being eagerly anticipated. It measures 73 mm x 45 mm wide and is 18 mm thick. This flip style phone has some outstanding features as well as its excellent stylish outer casing.

The limited edition Sony Ericsson Jalou comes with two screens. The main screen is the one exposed upon opening the phone. This screen is a 2.0 inch TFT display screen which is able to display 256,000 colours at a pixel size of 240 x 320 pixels. The screen which is on the front of the phone is a monochrome screen which is 1.3 inches in size and operates at 128 x 36 pixels. The internal display screen also provides an accelerometer sensor which corrects image aspect to its optimum angle for viewing.

The Jalou D&G comes with a 3.15 megapixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera is sufficiently good enough quality to take effective photographs. The addition of geo tagging is an excellent and sought after feature which allows the ability to reference the image by location. The phone also offers video recording and playback at QVGA quality and at 15 frames per second, whilst the ability to make and receive video calls, which is also available on this phone, is an option frequently being requested.

The Sony Jalou Dolce & Gabbana comes with an MP3/MP4 player as well stereo FM radio. This means in real terms that downloaded music and video files can be played on this unit as well as the ability to listen to local and national radio stations.
